This article covers where this Dragon Statue Figure comes from, what collectors should look at when considering it, and a few practical buying notes. This is an official limited-edition Dragon Statue Figure released alongside Dragon’s Dogma for the PlayStation 3, produced by Capcom and sold exclusively through e-Capcom, the company’s own Japanese direct storefront. For fans who have followed the franchise from its PS3 origins to its modern entries, this piece is a grounding artifact. It recalls where Dragon’s Dogma began and the enthusiasm that surrounded its Japanese launch.
Japanese direct-sale editions hold a distinct place among scale figures because of how they reached fans. Items sold through e-Capcom’s limited or collector editions were produced in controlled quantities. They were sold directly to fans at the time of release and were never widely distributed through standard retail channels. Because of this, a piece like this statue is tied to its original Japanese release in a way that ordinary retail merchandise is not.
About This Item
This Dragon Statue Figure is an official Capcom-produced collectible. It was released alongside the PlayStation 3 version of Dragon’s Dogma and sold exclusively through e-Capcom, Capcom’s own Japanese direct storefront. Because Capcom produced it, the statue carries the full weight of official licensing. It was manufactured to complement one of Capcom’s flagship action RPG releases of that console generation.
The most important point about this piece is that it is a genuine, officially produced Capcom item. It is not a reproduction or an unlicensed product. For collectors, that origin matters more than any other detail. The statue came from the same company that made the game, and it was sold through that company’s own channel to fans who were buying the game at launch.
This example is offered in pre-owned condition. It was carefully inspected before listing and is shipped from Japan.

The Dragon’s Dogma Franchise: Why Collectors Care
Dragon’s Dogma launched in Japan in 2012. It quickly built a devoted international following for its ambitious open-world design and deep action RPG mechanics. That following is a large part of why official merchandise from the original release still draws attention today.
The franchise has since continued into modern entries. As a result, there are now fans who started with the PS3 original and fans who found the series later. For players who have followed the series from its PS3 origins, an official piece from the original Japanese release links the early days of the game to where the series stands now. This statue serves as that kind of grounding artifact. It is a physical reminder of where Dragon’s Dogma began and the enthusiasm that surrounded its Japanese launch.
Rarity and Value Factors
Three qualities define this piece for collectors:
- Genuinely limited: It is a limited edition sold through e-Capcom, and those editions were made in controlled quantities.
- Officially produced: It is a Capcom item made under full official licensing.
- Out of primary circulation: It is no longer available through any primary market channel.
Items with this combination tend to quietly appreciate in the collector community. Because e-Capcom editions never went through standard retail, a buyer today can generally only find one secondhand.

The key question with any e-Capcom exclusive is whether it is the official Capcom item. This statue is a genuine, officially produced Capcom piece, not a reproduction or unlicensed product. That makes confirming official origin the first step whenever you evaluate an example of this figure.
Since this is a pre-owned item, review the listing photos closely. Compare the condition shown against your own standards before buying.
Condition Checklist
- Official origin: Confirm the piece is the Capcom-produced e-Capcom limited edition and not a reproduction.
- Sculpt and paint: Check the listing images of the dragon sculpt for any wear.
- Base and stability: Look at how the statue sits and check the base in the photos.
- Listing photos overall: Use all available images to judge the overall pre-owned condition.
- Packaging: Check whether original packaging is included. It ties the piece to its e-Capcom release.
