pokemon-altaria-lebensgross-stofftier-pokemon-center-limitiert-2023-big-size-toy: franchise origin reference
Pokémon is a Japanese media franchise that spans video games, animated series and films, a trading card game, and other related media. The Pokemon Altaria Life size Stuffed Toy Pokemon Center Limited 2023 Big Size Toy brings one of the franchise’s creatures into the physical world as a large stuffed toy.
The Pokemon Series & This Character
Pokémon’s origins as a franchise are separate from this plush’s 2023 release. Its reach across games, screen media, cards, and other related media gives this piece a place within a much wider world.
Altaria is the Pokémon represented here. This plush takes its reference point from the games, as its life-size format is intended to reflect Altaria’s in-game proportions.
About This Piece
This big size stuffed toy was released in 2023 as a limited edition item through the Pokémon Center, the retail and online storefront of Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. Based on its product title, it was sold exclusively through that channel, which places it within the Pokémon Center’s own merchandise rather than general retail.
For collectors, the piece’s meaning lies in the combination of its subject, source, and scale: Altaria, the Pokémon Center, and a notably large format designed to echo the creature’s in-game size. Its life-size concept is the defining feature, turning a character from the games into a substantial physical display piece.
